Stanley P. Juchnewich, 91, of Hermitage, passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2025, in Clepper Manor, Sharon.
Mr. Juchnewich was born August 28, 1934, in Sharon, a son of the late Stanley and Helen (Montcovish) Juchnewich, and was a 1953 graduate of Farrell High School.
On February 13, 1960, he married the former Anna Dinas, in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish, Niles. They were members of the former Church of the Sacred Heart, Sharon, where he served as an usher.
A proud veteran, Stanley served as a Specialist 4 in the United States Army Medical Corps., with the 583rd Ambulance Company in Landstuhl, Germany. After a tour in Lebanon during Operation Blue Bat, Stanley was discharged, only to be recalled shortly after. Upon completing medical training at Fort Meade, he was assigned to Walter Reed Medical Center, where he would serve until his final honorable discharge.
Following his discharge, Stanley worked for Burns International Security, and the former Hermitage Valley Mall Security Services. He would ultimately retire from the former Sharon Steel Corporation, Farrell, where he worked as a Heater in the blooming mill for 37 years.
Stanley was a former member of the Cootie VFW, the Sharon Steel Corps. Retirement Club, where he served as Chaplain, and a lifelong member of VFW Post 5286, Farrell. He also belonged to the National Rifle Association with his son, Michael, with whom he loved hunting and fishing with, along with his grandson.
In his spare time, Stanley enjoyed photography, and his greatest photography accomplishment was being able to photograph his niece's wedding. He also enjoyed traveling with his wife, always stopping at casinos along the way.
He is survived by his grandson, Frank Frolick, Jr.; and son-in-law, Frank Frolick, Sr., both of Hermitage.
In addition to his parents and wife, Stanely was preceded in death by his daughter, Karen Frolick; son, Michael Juchnewich; sister, Genevieve Dunkerley; and brother, Robert Juchnewich.
In keeping with his wishes, there will be no services.
