Obituary

Sohnnette "Tutu" Ellebie-Harrison of Hermitage, PA went to the heavenly place to be with the Lord and savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, April 24, 2018, in St. John XXIII Home, Hermitage, following a heroic battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving family. She was 46.

She was born October 9, 1971, in Sharon, PA, a daughter of John S. Ellebie and Deborah L. (Grear) Ellebie. Sohnnette was a 1990 graduate of Farrell High School where she enjoyed being involved in school groups and clubs. Sohnnette also played volleyball for three years, which she loved. She was employed as a crisis care manager at George Junior Republic, Grove City, PA, for more than 18 years.

Sohnnette was a former member of First Baptist Church, Farrell, where she was a member of the youth choir, junior usher board and the youth group. She was also a member of the girl's youth group under the Order of the Eastern Star, PHA, Farrell. Sohnnette enjoyed life, especially supporting her children in all of their endeavors, looking for places to hold the family gatherings, taking long rides exploring for houses in the county and an array of family games.

She is survived by a daughter, A'von I. Crawford, at home; a son, Malique R. Harrison, Farrell; her mother, Deborah L. (Grear) Ellebie and her fiance' Eric I. Somerset, Farrell; her father, John S. Ellebie and his wife Georgia, Charlotte, NC; maternal grandmother, Ada Mae King; paternal grandmother, Ruth Pullium; paternal grandfather, John E. Ellebie, all of Farrell; two step-sisters, Sharon and Amber Smith, Columbia, SC; a step-brother, Quinton Smith and his wife LeWanda, Charlotte, NC; four aunts, Mary Jo Pruden, Washington, PA; Amelia King-Johnson; and Beverly Ellebie, both of Farrell; and Yolanda Harris and her husband Eric, Sharon; four uncles, Toni Scott, Waco, TX; Lorenzo Scott, Las Vegas, NV; Richard Ellebie and his wife Shelia, Triangle, VA; and Ronnie Pulliam and his wife Loren, Pittsburgh; her best friend, Ceilla Chapman-Samuels, TN; and a host of family and friends.

Sohnnette was preceded her maternal grandfather, Richard R Grear; and her great grandparents.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday (05/05/2018) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 East State St., Sharon, with Pastor Terry Harrison and Minister James Hosey, both of Valley Baptist Church, Farrell; Pastor Clevon Dukes, New Hope Baptist, Farrell; and Rev. Eric Harris.
