Shirley Dean Hyde, formerly of Sharon, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 20, 2020, in Embassy of Park Ave., Meadville. She was 71.

Shirley was born September 9, 1949, in Sharon, a daughter of Edward M. Hyde and Jean K. (Ogden) Hyde. She was a 1967 graduate of Sharon High School and earned an associate degree from Penn State Shenango.

Shirley was a member of St. Joseph Church, Sharon.

Surviving is a sister, Barbara Stabile and her husband David, of Sharon; nieces and nephew, Mary Stabile and her daughter Izabella, of Sharon; Edward Stabile and his wife Carrie and their children, Jacob, Edward and Madison, also of Sharon; and Chrissy Stabile and her children, Brooklyn and Harper, of Brookfield; and numerous cousins.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved cats.

The family suggests memorial contributions be directed to Buhl Park, 715 Hazen Rd., Hermitage, PA 16148; or to a non-profit animal charity.

There are no calling hours.

Private blessing service will be held in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon.

Entombment: St. Rose Cemetery Mausoleum, Hermitage.
