Sheryl J. Brinker, Beil Hill Road, Delaware Township, Greenville, passed away at 10:56 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, 2015, in Canterbury Place, Pittsburgh, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 66. Sheryl was born June 22, 1948, in Chicago, one of three daughters born to Joseph and Dorothy Kruisselbrink Marshall. She was raised in Sharon and graduated from Sharon High School in 1965. She attended Slippery Rock State College, now Slippery Rock University, and graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree in psychology. Sheryl worked in probation for Mercer County Juvenile Court and the Youth Detention Center Security Unit. She enjoyed cooking, traveling, shopping, riding horses, gardening and spending time with her English setter and faithful companion, Niko. Her husband, Willis B. Brinker, survives at home. Also surviving are: her two sisters, Linda Williams, and her husband, James, Sharon; and Patti Keath, and her husband, Terry, Myerstown, Pa.; her stepdaughter, Jennifer Montgomery, and her husband, Mark, Pittsburgh; four grandchildren, Grant and Paige Montgomery, Erin Sankey and Catherine Skalski; two nephews, Bryan Williams, and his wife, Natalie; and Jason Sloan; a niece, Jenna Sloan; and two great-nieces, Madison Shoaf and Kinley Williams. She was preceded in death by her parents and her stepdaughter, Lisa A. Skalski. Memorial contributions may be made to Family Hospice and Palliative Care, 310 Fisk St., Pittsburgh, PA 15201.
