Obituary

Sherry Lynn Lambert, of Sharon, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at 5:17 p.m. Saturday, February 23, 2019, in UPMC Passavant Hospital, Pittsburgh, after a brief illness.  She was 60.

Sherry was born March 3, 1958, in Sharon, a daughter of the late Bill and Frances (Edell) Evans and was a 1976 graduate of Sharon High School.

Prior to her illness, Sherry was employed in the laundry department at Nugent Convalescent Home, Hermitage, and previously worked in the same capacity for Juniper Village in Sharon.  Years earlier, she was a nurse's aide at St. Paul's Home in Greenville.

Sherry was a kind hearted girl who put others needs in front of her own and enjoyed going to work.  She was also an exceptional homemaker and taking care of her family and pet dogs, Jackson, Georgie and Lucy were her top priorities.   She was a fan of the Pittsburgh Penguins and loved going to Tionesta to spend time with family and friends.

Surviving are: her husband of 36 years, Kenneth S. Lambert, whom she married October 15, 1982; a son, Samuel J. Lambert, at home; a step-daughter, Veronica Lambert and her daughter, Rainey, of Tennessee; two sisters, Laura Habuda, of Hermitage, and Donna M. Gerasimek and her husband Thomas, of Lawrenceville, GA; a brother, Thomas Evans and his wife Stephenie, of Sea Island, GA; her father-in-law, Raymond Lambert and his wife Rose, of CA; three brothers-in-law, Ronnie, Michael and Raymond Lambert; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Sherry was preceded in death by twin sons, John and David Lambert; a brother-in-law, Frank Habuda; and her mother-in-law, Ella Seddon.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.

Calling hours will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 2, 2019, in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon.
