Sheila Ann Knapp, 52, of Erie passed away with her son at her side Tuesday morning, January 16, 2024, following an 18-month courageous battle with Leukemia.

Sheila was born February 18, 1971, in Farrell, the daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth (Mikulin) Caszatt. A 1989 graduate of Hickory High School in Hermitage, she attended Penn State University, Shenango Valley Campus, and later earned a bachelor's degree from Youngstown State University.

Sheila worked as an account manager for Essentra Components, Erie.

Sheila was a Christian.

A talented grill master, she had a passion for grilling and smoking ribs. Sheila was an avid and knowledgeable Pittsburgh Steelers and Alabama Crimson Tide Football fan.

Her husband, Jeffrey Nelson Knapp, whom she married July 26, 1996, survives at home.

Sheila is also survived by her son, Zachary Knapp, Jackson, MS; her parents, Joseph and Elizabeth Caszatt, Hermitage; a brother, Steven Caszatt (Marianne), Marietta, PA; a niece, Emma Caszatt; and a nephew, Isaac Caszatt.
