Sheila M. Cingolani, 3650 Pleasant Dr., Hermitage, passed away at 2:46 p.m. Friday, April 13, 2012, in her home, after a brief illness. She was 64.
Ms. Cingolani was born May 5, 1947, in Sharon, a daughter of Gilbert and Erma Pacsi Koch.
A lifelong area resident, she was a 1965 alumna of Sharon High School. She then matriculated to Penn State University, State College, PA, where she received her bachelor's degree in education; and later obtained her masters degree from Slippery Rock University.
Sheila was an elementary school teacher in the Hermitage School District for 37 years, primarily teaching 1st grade, and retired in 2006.
She was a member of the Church of Notre Dame, Hermitage. She was also a member of the PSEA (Pennsylvania State Education Association), the NEA (National Education Association) and served as a poll worker on Election Day in Hermitage for many years. Sheila's love for her family was paramount in her life. She cherished the time she shared with her them, particularly her grandchildren, and was extremely devoted to her mother. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Surviving are: three sons, Christian T. Cingolani and his wife Molly, Mooresville, North Carolina; Michael J. Cingolani and his wife Jennifer, Greenwich, Connecticut; and Steven F. Cingolani, Hermitage; her mother, Erma Koch, Hermitage; four grandchildren whom she adored, Connor, Jacqueline, Taylor and Zachary; three loving sisters, Martha Pepe and her husband Tony, Phoenix, Arizona; Linda Maul and her husband Gary, Columbus, Ohio; and Rosemarie Neff, Hermitage; and a loving brother, Dennis Koch and his wife Bonnie, Boardman, Ohio. She also leaves a sister-in-law, Linda Cookingham, Kingston, New York; several nieces and nephews; and wonderful friends.
Besides her father; Sheila was preceded in death by two grandsons, Phillip James Cingolani and Allen Lucas Cingolani; and her former husband, Ralph J. 'Terry' Cingolani, Jr.
