Mrs. Piccirilli was born on December 9, 1957, in Johnstown, PA, a daughter of the late Frederick and Beverly (Walz) Showalter Sr. She was a 1975 graduate of Sharpsville High School, where she was crowned Homecoming Queen.

Throughout her life, she enjoyed peaceful camping trips to the mountains, especially in Tionesta, PA. Sharon was also a diehard Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

Her husband of 46 years, Jeffrey Piccirilli Sr., whom she married on June 3, 1978, survives her at home in Sharpsville. She is also survived by her son, Jeffrey Piccirilli Jr., and his fiancée, Gia Prezioso, of Sharpsville; her daughter, Michelle Piccirilli, and her fiancé, Justin Kraynak, of Pulaski; a granddaughter, Emma Eckrich; and a brother, Michael Showalter, of Sharpsville.

In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by a brother, Frederick Showalter Jr., and three sisters: Karen Showalter, Mary Sternthal, and Renee Unrue.
