Obituary

Scott J. Stefanish, 49, of Masury, OH, passed away surrounded by his loved ones on Friday, March 29, 2024. He was called home to help our Lord deliver the mail after a four-year battle with Leiomyosarcoma Cancer.

Scott was born on December 2, 1974, in Sharon, a son of Dennis and Maryrose Stefanish. He graduated from Sharpsville High School and attended Penn State University.

Scott worked for Werner Ladder, and later as a postal letter carrier in Sharpsville, Branch 22, where he was a NALC Union Steward.

Scott was of the Catholic Faith.

An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, RV camping, riding ATV and biking. He also had many hobbies, which included playing league billiards, playing drums and driving his GTO.

He is survived by his parents; a brother, Brian Alan Stefanish; his beloved companion of 13 years, Kim (Augustine) Sorg; and his aunts and uncles.

"God told me that he needed me, and he called me to come home, an angel gently took my hand, and we entered into paradise. Now I'm flying with the angels. Now Heaven is my home."

Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, in the church, with Rev. David Foradori, as celebrant.

Interment: St. Ann's Cemetery, Hermitage.
