Sally was born Sarah Jane Campbell on February 15, 1932, in New Castle, Pa. She graduated Class of 1950 from New Castle High School and began working for Strouss’ Dept Store, then First Federal Bank, starting as a Teller. Her sweet personality and talents caught the eye of the President and she quickly became his Secretary. He saw the loving lady she was and introduced her to his brother, who would become the love of her life, Wm Paul Dove. They married June 11th, 1955. They were married for 58 amazing years!
In 1960, Paul and Sally made their home in Hermitage, PA, and a truly beautiful Love Story. They adored each other. God blessed them with four children and life was never too busy for her to make time for others her family and her friends. She loved deeply. She was a Homemaker, Cub Scout Mom and Little League Mom. She played piano for Nursing Home Residents. She was passionate about making people feel good and making them feel valued.
She loved playing Bridge, and how she beamed when she won the $4.00 Grand Prize. To her delight, her name would be printed in the Newspaper!
She was given the Title “Food Pusher”, always cooking and serving to ensure all felt her love. She enjoyed Cruises – anything to meet new people. Dad always called her an Activity Director, as their home was always filled with wonderful food, good friends and lots of love. That was Sally. She lived a bold, big life, loving everyone to the Moon and Back.
She was preceded in death by her parents, J Frank Campbell and Sara Frizzel Campbell, an infant sister, Florence, the love of her life, Wm Paul Dove, and her beloved son, Paul Franklin Dove.
Her Legacy lives on through her surviving family: Elaine Clark (Paul Clark), Diane Nens (Gene Obrizak) and Jim Dove (Susan Holcombe Dove). Sally enjoyed and deeply loved her six cherished grandchildren & five precious great-grandchildren.
