Sandra L. (Haney) Haines of Hermitage, formerly of Grove City, passed away Saturday, October 20, 2018 with her daughters by her side. She was 77.

Sandra was born February 19, 1941, in Greensburg, PA, a daughter of the late Lawrence William Haney and Grace Winifred Hudspeth Haney.

After graduating from Greensburg High School in 1958, she attended Slippery Rock State Teacher's College. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education in 1961 and completed her Master's in Elementary Education in 1968.

Sandra began her teaching career in Tempe, Arizona for three years before returning to Pennsylvania where she spent several years teaching third grade at Volant Elementary School.  She finished her teaching career at Wilmington Elementary School and retired from Wilmington Area School District after thirty-three and a half years.

She is survived by two daughters, Robin Heckathorn of Mercer, and Terry Hart and her beloved son-in-law Karl Hart of Grove City; two grandchildren, Corey (Jenna) Hart of Buffalo NY, and Jacob Hart of Grove City; and her cherished and closest friend of many years, Dotty (Jack) Atcheson also of Grove City.

In addition to her parents, Sandra was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Haney.

In keeping with Sandra's wishes there will be no service or calling hours.
