Samuel Dominic Sabino, Sharon, passed away at 6:05 a.m. on Tuesday (5-4-10) at his residence following an extended illness. He was 81.
He was born January 24, 1929 in Sharon the son of Dominic and Josephine Buccino Sabino.
A lifelong area resident, he attended Brookfield Schools.
He was a member of St. Joseph's Church, Sharon.
A decorated veteran of the United States Army, he served during the Korean War and was honorably discharged in 1954 with the Korean Service Medal with two Bronze Stars.
He was employed for 44 years at the former Sharon Steel Corporations Farrell plant where he had worked in several capacities and retired as an electrician.
His wife the former Betty Diefenderfer whom he married on July 10, 1954, survives at home.
He also leaves his two daughters, Debbie Teague and her husband Mark, and Lisa Siege all of Sharpsville, and his son Marc Sabino and his wife Becky of Farrell, four grandchildren, Richard and Elizabeth Teague, and Carly and Tommy Siege.
He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers, Louis, Neal, Ralph, Daniel, Anthony, and Joseph Sabino, and his six sisters, infant Raffaela Sabino, Rose Massaro, Mary Kemp, Jennie Orsini, Lucille Girodano, and Anne Warner.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sharon Regional Hospice and Palliative Care 2320 Highland Road, Hermitage, Pa. 16148
