IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sally Lou
White
June 10, 1935 – May 18, 2025
On Sunday, May 18, 2025, Sally Lou Jewell White went home to be with her Lord and Savior. After 89 years dedicated to faith, family and friends, she was joyfully reunited with "the love of her life," husband of 59 years, James Patrick "Pat" White, and their first-born daughter, Deidra Duleba, whom she missed dearly. She was surrounded by her family, with her hands constantly held and cheeks always kissed.
Sally was born on June 10, 1935, in Meadville, PA, a daughter of the late Don and Mignon (Haas) Jewell. She was a 1953 graduate of Sharpsville High School.
Sally approached every day with gratitude and a positive mindset. She took great care in the small things. In a classy way she was clever and playful, particularly lucky at Parcheesi, and always in the mood for a chocolate treat.
Sally had a beautiful soprano voice and graced the Shenango Valley Chorale for 17 years, was a former vocalist for Notre Dame and St. Joseph's church, and, most recently, would sing for her doctors and nurses.
Most of all, she loved spending time with family. A softer version of herself in recent years, she still made quick observations, asked a lot of questions, and found much to laugh about. She had a talent for making everyone she met feel loved and included.
She is survived by two daughters, Darla Bequeath (Ronald), Diane Brown (Scott), all of Hermitage; ten grandchildren, Carrie Anderson (Josh), Colleen Engelmore (Brian), Erin Avnet (Shane), Kylie Davis, Ilana Girdany, Ian Bequeath (Caitlin), Laura Roth (Dillan), Levi Bequeath (Hannah), Malia Brown, Maura Brown (Andrew Rushlow), and fourteen great-grandchildren with one on the way.
In addition to her parents and husband, Sally was preceded in death by a daughter, Deidra Duleba; a sister, Donna Murray; and two brothers, James and Calvin Jewell.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday (05/27/2025) in St. Joseph's Church, 79 Case Ave., Sharon, with Rev. Glenn Whitman as celebrant. In lieu of calling hours, there will be a Celebration of Life Luncheon immediately following Mass. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.McGonigleFuneralHomeandCrematory.com
Interment: St. Mary's Cemetery, Hermitage.
