Ryan A. Stambaugh of Hermitage passed away unexpectedly at 10:25 p.m. Tuesday, June 6, 2017, in the emergency room of the Sharon Regional Health System. He was 20.

Ryan was born January 17, 1997, in Greenville, PA, a son of Randy Pegg and Barbara (Stambaugh) Smith. He was a 2015 graduate of Hickory High School, Hermitage; and previously attended Indiana Area Senior High School, Indiania, PA.

Following high school, Ryan began working at GetGo Café and Market, Hermitage, and had recently enrolled in courses at PTI, Pittsburgh.

He was proud to have earned a certificate of completion from the Pennsylvania State Police Camp Cadet Summer Youth Progam, Indiania, PA.

Ryan enjoyed watching movies and playing video games. He looked forward to spending the summer months at his grandparents' house, and going to visit family members out town. Ryan loved his family dearly and never hesitated when given an opportunity to help them with any tasks around their homes.

Surviving are: his mother, Barbara Smith and her husband Larry, Hermitage; his father, Randy Pegg and his wife April, Boardman, OH; grandparents, John and Pamela Lenz, West Middlesex; and Robert and Cathy Stambaugh, Weedville, PA; two step-sisters, Emily Smith, Bradford, PA; and Danielle Smith, Ford City, PA; a half-brother, Blake Smith, Hermitage; four step-brothers, Jake Smith, Virginia; and Devon Smith, Ford City; Trevor and Lane Pegg, Boardman, OH; and a great uncle, David Smith and his wife Janice, Kittanning, PA.

Calling hours will be 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday ( 6-10-17 ) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday , in the funeral home, with Aaron Lego, Lead Pastor of Grace Chapel Community Church, Hermitage, officiating.
