IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ruth Arlene
Kloss
November 24, 1925 – December 30, 2020
Ruth Arlene Kloss, 95, of Hermitage passed away Wednesday morning, December 30, 2020, at her residence.
Mrs. Kloss was born November 24, 1925, in Sharon, a daughter of Charles Calvin and Clara Mildred (Winner) Hurst. A lifelong area resident, she was a graduate of Brookfield High School.
A homemaker, she was an exceptional cook and also enjoyed baking.
Ruth was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Hermitage.
She loved walking at Buhl Park in Hermitage, and sitting down with family and friends for a good cup of coffee and a piece of homemade pie. Ruth's greatest joy was found in spending time with her family and she never missed anyone's birthday or special occasion. Even with some loved ones from afar, she made each one a priority. Through her faith in God, she demonstrated to her family that love is the greatest gift one can give and that beautiful love is the legacy she leaves with all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Harry F. Kloss, whom she married January 8, 1977, of Hermitage; a daughter, Karen (Paul) Bender, Midlothian, VA; two sons, Rev. Richard (Patricia) Rowe, and Terry (Rose) Rowe, all of Hermitage; a step-daughter, Jeannie Stipe, Colorado; seven grandchildren, Sean (Carly) Rowe, Chad (Emily) Rowe, Carrie Rowe, Tara (B.J.) Rudge, Melissa (Chad) Hammond, Andy (Michelle) Bender, and Garret (Molly) Rowe; three step-grandchildren, Drew, Scott and Robin Stipe; and thirteen great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her first husband, Walter Rowe; a brother, Charles Hurst; and a sister, Donna Hurst.
