(Bruno) Wirtitsch
May 10, 1928 – September 24, 2016
Ruth E. (Bruno) Wirtitsch, a lifelong Hermitage resident, passed away peacefully under hospice care on Saturday, September 24, 2016, in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System surrounded by her loving family after a brief illness. She was 88.
Born in Sharon on May 10, 1928, she was a daughter of Harry and Maude (Roberts) Kloss.
Ruth was a 1946 graduate of Hickory High School and the former Wilmar Beauty School.
She enjoyed working as a beautician and operated a beauty shop in her home for many years. She would later go on to work for her son at L.P. Bruno Jewelers until she retired.
Ruth was a member of the Church of Notre Dame, Hermitage. She married Bernard "Benny" Bruno on August 31, 1946. He passed away on February 5, 1979.
She is survived by her second husband, Louis K. Wirtitsch whom she married October 22, 1988.
She also leaves a son Larry Bruno and his wife Linda, Mercer; a daughter Linda Steele and her husband Woody, Hermitage; one grandson Darren Steele and his wife Beth, Coraopolis, Pa; a great grandson, Liam, whom she loved and adored; a brother, Harry F. Kloss and his wife Ruth, Sharon; as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her first husband, Benny and her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Winner; and a younger brother, Carl, and sister, Dorothy, who both died in infancy.
She enjoyed traveling, dancing, admiring her flowers and hummingbirds, and most of all spending time with her family.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
Calling Hour will be from 10:30 am until the time of Mass on Wednesday, September 28,, 2016, in the Church of Notre Dame, Hermitage.
A Memorial Mass will be at 11:30 am Wednesday, in the church, with Rev. Jeffery J. Noble, pastor, as celebrant.
Interment: St. Rose Cemetery, Hermitage.
