Rose Ann Voisey, 26 Golfwood Dr.; formerly of Griswold St., both Hermitage, passed away unexpectedly early Tuesday morning (12-7-10) in her home. She was 78.

Mrs. Voisey was born July 31, 1932 in New Castle, PA a daughter of the late Norman G. and Irene Awilda Hogue Zeigler.

She was a 1950 graduate of New Castle High School and a 1953 alumna of Jameson Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, also New Castle.

She married Willard Hugh Voisey on May 15, 1954 and together they shared 55 beautiful years of marriage and raised three sons. Rose Ann was a registered nurse for more than thirty years and retired in 1993 from Dr. Douglas Rauch's office where she was employed for 18 years. She previously worked for Dr. Alfred Perfett for eight years and the Sharon Regional Health System for five years. Rose Ann was an active member and Elder at the Central Christian Church in Hermitage. She was also a member of the Hermitage Women's Club; the Retired Nurses Association of Sharon; and the Jameson Memorial Hospital Alumni for Nurses. She was a former member of the Order of Eastern Star, New Castle and the Shenango Valley Junior Women's Club, having served as a past president.

A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she is survived by: her husband Bill, at home; three sons, Dr. Lon W. Voisey and his wife Janet, West Middlesex; Lewis N. Voisey and his wife Rozanne, Hermitage; and Lynn W. Voisey and his wife Pam, Sharpsville; nine grandchildren, Lauren Arihood and her husband Brent; Lyle Voisey, Nickolas Mariotti and his wife Shelly; Ann Marie Meade and her husband Mike; Ross Voisey, Ryan Voisey, Valerie Rice and her husband Doug; Jenelle Mariotti and Jeffrey Murray; five great grandchildren, Lonna Voisey, Bailey Mariotti, Brynn Mariotti, Nickolas Mariotti, IV and Ella Rice; a sister, Deborah Crowell and her husband Thomas, Hagerstown, MD; and a brother, Lewis R. Zeigler, Owasso, OK.

Besides her parents, Rose Ann was preceded in death by a brother Kenneth W. Zeigler.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Central Christian Church, 218 Meadowbrook Rd., Hermitage, PA 16148.

A Memorial service for Rose Ann will be held at 11 a.m. Friday (12-10-10) in Central Christian Church, Hermitage, with the Rev. Dr. Jeffrey Moore, pastor, officiating.

Family will receive friends immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall.

Interment: Castleview Memorial Gardens, New Castle, PA.
