Rose Marie Russo, 92, of Hartford, OH, passed away peacefully Saturday morning, July 6, 2024, in her home.

Mrs. Russo was born on December 22, 1931, in Sharon, a daughter of the late Thomas and Mary (Shanley) Steiner, and graduated from Farrell High School.

She retired from General Electric Ohio Lamp Plant, Warren, OH, where she worked as a line assembly technician for many years.

Rose was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Church, Farrell.

In her free time, Rose loved cross stitching, baking, going to bingo nights, and taking vacations to Myrtle Beach with her large family and many friends.

Above all else, Rose was a devoted mother and grandmother, who always put the needs of others ahead of her own. Nothing made her happier than seeing the smiles of her loved ones. Rose will be sadly missed by her friends and relatives.

Her husband of 48 years, Frank P. Russo, whom she married on April 18, 1953, passed away on August 30, 2001.

Rose leaves behind a son, Phillip J. Russo, Hartford; a son-in-law, David O. Dunfee, Cortland, OH; a sister-in-law, Janie Steiner, Hubbard, OH; three grandchildren, Jason (Jennifer) Dunfee, Jason (Jennifer) Russo, and Jared Russo; three greatgrandchildren, Riley, Abby and Jax Russo; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Rose was preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Dunfee; and seven siblings, Linda Portz, Eleanor Pringle, Kathleen Slezak, Viola Starr, Bette Greb, Carol Augustine and Jim Steiner.

Rose's family would like to thank the staff at Farrell UPMC for their exceptional care and treatment during her stay.

In keeping with Rose's wishes, there are no services.
