Obituary

Rose Marie Molinari, 1521 Griswold St., Hermitage, passed away at 12:35 a.m. Friday (1-30-09) in the transitional care unit of the Sharon Regional Health System following a brief illness. She was 90.
Mrs. Molinari was born Feb. 20, 1918 in Sharon the youngest child of the late Daniel and Maria Picciuto Sebastian.
A lifelong area resident, she attended Sharon High School.
Rose was employed for a brief period during WWII at the former Sharon Transformer Division of the Westinghouse Electric Corp.
A homemaker, she was an active member of Church of Notre Dame, Hermitage, where she belonged to the Friendship Club, the Prayer Chain, the funeral catering group and the 55 + Sr. Group of which she was a past president. She was formerly a longtime member of Church of the Sacred Heart, Sharon. Earlier in her life, Rose was active with the Sharon School District PTO and the Sharon High School Football Mothers of which she was a past president. Her passion was cooking and baking. She was an excellent cook and for nearly twenty years had her own catering business. She loved to bake for family and friends and will be remembered for her delicious cookies and beautiful wedding cakes. She was an avid reader, particularly cook books, and enjoyed traveling by motor coach to different destinations. She was devoted to the Blessed Mother and each year looked forward to traveling by bus to Carey, Ohio to the Shrine at Our Lady of Consolation Church on August the 15th, which is the Feast o!

f the Assumption. Rose was a member of the Ladies Night Out Club; Sharon Steel's Retiree's Association; and John XXIII Home Auxiliary, Hermitage, where she also volunteered for 10 years.
A wonderful woman, she will be dearly missed by her family and all who knew her. Her husband, Nicholas M. Molinari, whom she married Oct. 21, 1939 in Church of the Sacred Heart, Sharon, passed away Oct. 22, 2000.
Surviving are: two daughters, Delphina McLusky and her husband James, with whom she made her home; and Rosemary Mazzocca and her husband Richard, Hermitage; a son, Anthony R. Molinari, Sharon; six grandchildren, Jim McLusky, Judy McLusky Buzin, Jill Brzezinski, Amy Higgins, Anthony Molinari, Jr. and Faith Mary Matejka; and two step-grandsons, Kevin and Richard Mazzocca; 12 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband, Rose was preceded in death by five sisters, Florence Rogers, Angeline 'Lena' Petrillo, Grace Moschillo, Natalina 'Nellie' Santell and Minnie Sebastian who died in infancy; and four brothers, Joseph 'Don' Sebastian, Anthony 'Ham' Sebastian, Michael 'Lefty' Sebastian and Frank Sebastian who died in infancy.
Calling hours will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday (2-02-09) in the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Tuesday (2-03-09) in Church of Notre Dame, Hermitage.
Interment: St. Rose Cemetery, Hermitage
