Obituary

Rose Marletto joined her husband in Heaven on Thursday July 2, 2015 from her home in Richmond, VA surrounded by her children and grandchildren after a brief illness. She was 93. Born, August 23, 1921, she grew up in Greenville, PA and married Dominic J Marletto in 1947 on her birthday. They raised three children in the Sharon, PA area - Annette Gregg and husband Mark of Richmond, VA; Michael Marletto and wife Diane of New Castle, PA; and Joseph Marletto and wife Pamela of Sharpsville, PA. Rose leaves behind six adoring grandchildren, Maria Goebert, Lucinda Stevens, Theresa Fersch, Joseph Rini, Mikie Marletto, and LeeAnn Marletto, eleven great grandchildren, and two great, great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dominic; granddaughter Christina Marletto; grandson Nicholas Marletto, her parents, and her siblings. She was a lifelong member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Sharon, PA. She was very skilled at making delicious homemade Italian sausage and cavatelli among other Italian dishes. Rose was an exemplary mother and grandmother. Her family is a tapestry woven together by her love. Rose and Dom will always be admired for their graceful and lively polka dancing. Calling hours will be 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, July 7, 2015, in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 East State Street, Sharon.
