He moved to Italy as an infant where he was educated and returned to the United States in 1947.

Surviving are: his wife at home, the former Patricia Scalese, whom he married January 27, 1954 in St. Francis Di Paola Church, Paola, Italy; a daughter, Jessica Brzezinski and her husband Ted, Sterling Ht's., Michigan; two sons, Joseph R. Trunzo, Erie, PA; and Patrick T. Trunzo and his wife Patricia, Peters Township (Washington County), PA; five grandchildren, Andrew, Julia, Nicholas and Luke Trunzo; and Jacob Brzezinski.
Besides his parents, Rosy was preceded in death by a daughter, Frances Mary Trunzo; a son, R. Gene Trunzo; two sisters; and an infant brother.
