Rosalynne Marie (DiMatteo) DeCapua, 97, of Farrell, and Oakmont Drive, Conneaut Lake, passed away Wednesday evening, December 30, 2020, in Salem Regional Medical Center, Salem, OH.

Mrs. DeCapua was born April 13, 1923, in Brookfield, OH, a daughter of the late Nunzio and Christina (Offie) DiMatteo.

She was a 1941 graduate of Brookfield High School and a graduate of the former Shenango Valley Commercial Institute, Sharon.

In her senior year, she entered shorthand and typing contest at Howland High School, Trumbull County.

Her first employment in 1942 was with the Cambria Slag Company, Boyle Bldg., Sharon, a subsidiary of Standard Slag, Youngstown. She retired after 20 years of service from Sharon Steel's former Farrell plant, where she was an accounts receivable bookkeeper.

Rosalynne was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Church, Farrell.

Her pastime activities were crocheting, knitting, and playing bridge in many card clubs.  With her husband, she traveled extensively overseas and went on cruises to Caribbean Islands and parts of the United States.

Her husband, Leonard "Pecky" DeCapua, whom she married January 26, 1956, passed away May 24, 1990.

In addition to her parents and husband, Rosalynne was preceded in death by three sisters, three brothers, and an infant daughter, Minta.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Prince of Peace, 502 Darr Ave., Farrell, PA 16121; or Joshua's Haven, 1230 Stambaugh Ave., Sharon, PA 16146.
