Ronald Eugene Torrence

Ronald Eugene Torrence, 80, of Rockaway, NY, passed away on Friday, June 5, 2026, in Episcopal Health Service, New York.

Mr. Torrence was born on July 7, 1945, in Greenville, PA, a son of the late Robert and Doris E. (Jackson) Torrence. He was a 1963 graduate of Greenville High School and honorably served in the U.S. Navy.

Ronald worked in telecommunications, spending more than 30 years with Verizon.

He is survived by a brother, David Torrence, of Sharon; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by his husband, Harry Reed; and three brothers, Kenneth, Robert and James Torrence.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday (07/11/2026) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 East State St., Sharon, with Rev. Charles Johnston, pastor of Cedar Avenue Church of God, Sharon, officiating.

Interment: Shenango Valley Cemetery, Greenville.
