Ronald A. Squatrito of Clark passed away Friday, May 20, 2016, after an extended illness.
He was 77.
Mr. Squatrito was born November 9, 1938, in Sharon, a son of Geatano and Eleanor (Smith) Squatrito.
He attended Wheatland and Farrell schools and was a graduate of Sharon High School.
Ron married the former Patricia "Pat" Krajcovic on February 4, 1967, in the Church of Notre Dame, Hermitage.
He retired in 2006 from Sharon Steel's former Farrell plant where he was employed for 37 years.
Ron loved spending time with his granddaughters, Lainey, Jesslynn, Makayla and Miley.
He also enjoyed crossword puzzles and listening to country music.
In addition to his wife of 49 years, Ronnie is survived by three sons, Michael J. Squatrito, Sharpsville; Robert A. Squatrito and his wife Julie, Hermitage; and James Squatrito and his wife Allison, Richmond, VA; 4 granddaughters; and a brother, Albert Squatrito, California.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Geatano Squatrito and Eleanor Schultz; and a brother, Jim Squatrito.
He will be remembered as a kind and gentle person and also for the love he had for his family and friends, especially his four grandchildren.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to either Cancer Research, Alzheimer Foundation or Lebanon Presbyterian Church, 2090 Mercer-West Middlesex Rd., Mercer, PA 16137.
There are no calling hours.
Graveside service will be
11 a.m.
Saturday, May 28, 2016, in Haywood Cemetery, West Middlesex, with the Rev. August P. Hurst, pastor of Lebanon Presbyterian Church, officiating.
Burial will follow.
