Obituary

Roger K. Weiser of Farrell passed away peacefully at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 16, 2017, in UPMC Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh, following a brief illness. He was 56.

Roger was born May 23, 1960, in Sharon, a son of William and Martha Stull Weiser. He was a lifelong Shenango Valley resident and 1979 graduate of Sharpsville High School.

He served as a reservist in the U.S. Army National Guard, Hermitage.

Roger was worked as a truck driver for Estes Express Lines, West Middlesex; and was previously employed in the same capacity by Yourga Trucking, Inc., Wheatland.

He was an active member of several local organizations, including: VFW Post #5286, Farrell; Sons of the American Legion Post #432, Wheatland; Lawrence County ABATE, District 2, Chapter 8, New Castle; Slovenian Working Men's Club; and the Apollo Maennerchor Club, both Sharon. He was also a 32 nd Degree Mason of the Shenango Valley Masonic Lodge #810; and member of the Mercer County Zem Zem Shrine, both Hermitage.

Roger loved the outdoors, particularly when fishing, hunting or riding his motorcycle. His endearing free spirit and laid back demeanor made him loved by many, and he will be sadly missed by all.

Surviving are: his companion Cheryl Parcetich and her daughters Brook and Brandy Parcetich, all West Middlesex; a sister, Diane Weiser Sieg, Wheatland; a brother, Luke Weiser and his wife Wendy, West Middlesex; three nephews Mike, Kirk and Jason Sieg; two nieces, Kahyla Lee and Samantha Cumming; and several great nieces and nephews.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents and infant brother, William Weiser, Jr.

There will be no calling hours.

The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to Roger's Run, a fundraiser to alleviate medical expenses. The run will be Saturday, June 3, 2017 , with riders scheduled to leave the American Legion Post #432, Wheatland, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The run will conclude at VFW Post #5286, West Middlesex, where military honors will be rendered at 5:30 p.m. followed by a catered dinner with various drawings and prizes.
