Obituary

Roger David Triplett, 40, of Union Twp. passed away with his wife at his side Saturday afternoon, July 20, 2024, in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, following complications that arose from his lung transplant in 2013.

Roger was born May 24, 1984, in Yuba City, CA, a son of Ronald "Pete" and Sharon (Reynolds) Triplett.

A self-taught musician, he was a talented guitarist and bass player. While living in Sacramento, CA, he played bass in the well-known Highway 12 Band, and had previously played in a band with his brothers and promoted several local music shows. Roger was also a guitar luthier and had built several guitars with his niece, Cheyanne.

Roger was of the Christian faith.

Despite the various health adversities he faced throughout his life, Roger had a very light-hearted demeanor and was always quick with a joke. He enjoyed traveling, especially with his wife, Kristina, and was able to visit the United Kingdom and 45 out of the 50 states.

His beloved wife of 17 years, Kristina Maria Brandy (Vaskis) Triplett, whom he married October 7, 2006, survives at their home in Union Twp.
Roger is also survived by his parents, Pete and Sharon Triplett, Cottonwood, CA; two brothers, Ronald Triplett (Carolyn), of Oregan, and Rick Triplett (Brittany), Redding, CA; his mother-in-law, Terri Vaskis, Red Bluff, CA; a brother-in-law, Rutger Vaskis (Vikki), Panama City, FL; four nieces, Cheyanne, Aleena, Mia, and Hazzel; a nephew, Devin; several aunts and uncles; and numerous cousins.
