Robin L. (Tucci) Snyder, 336 Owego St., Painesville, Ohio; formerly of Sharon and Hermitage, passed away at 7:11 p.m. Wednesday (2-10-09) in Hospice of the Western Reserve, Euclid, Ohio where she was a patient one day following a courageous three year battle with cancer. She was 45.
Mrs. Tucci was born April 10, 1963 in Sharon a daughter of Gerald and Carol Clark Tucci.
She was a 1981 graduate of Hickory High School and the former Vo-Tech in Mercer.
Robin began working at the former Hermitage House Smorgasbord following high school where she excelled as a cake and dessert decorator. Three years later when the restaurant closed she became employed at the former Metz Bakery in Sharon where she worked for more than twelve years. She then worked at the Hadley Rd. Giant Eagle in Greenville until she and her family moved to Ohio in 2003. Robin continued working as a cake decorator and baker for the Giant Eagle Corporation in Willoughby Hills, S. Euclid, Lyndhurst and Chesterland, Ohio.
She was a member of the Oakland Ave. United Methodist Church, Sharon.
Robin was an avid reader and enjoyed reading romance novels, history and mysteries. She also loved her cats and watching movies. Robin will be remembered as a kind and energetic lady who adored her children and loved being motherly.
Surviving are: her husband, Boyd A. Snyder whom she married May 1, 1992; a daughter, Ginnifer E. Snyder; and a son, Terence L. Snyder, all at home; her father, Gerald Tucci, Hermitage; two brothers, Bradley Tucci and his wife Christine and their children, Tyler George and Brytney Tucci, all Hermitage; and Brian Tucci and his wife Donna and their daughter Brianna, Lackawannock Twp.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert and Fran Snyder, West Middlesex; Nancy and Bob Keso, Hermitage; Jamie and Russell Pear, Los Angelas, CA; Linda Snyder; and Janet and Ted Burnett, all Pittsburgh.
Robin was preceded in death by her mother and a nephew, Brian Tucci.
Calling hours will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday (2-15-09) in the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday (2-15-09) in the funeral home with the Rev. Richard N. Carlson, pastor of Oakland Ave. United Methodist Church, Sharon, officiating.
Interment: Mt. Washington Cemetery, Jefferson Twp.
