Robert A. Weaver, 86, formerly of Hermitage, passed away Sunday November 15, 2020, in Concordia of Wexford (PA).

Mr. Weaver was born October 26, 1934, in Sharon, a son of the late Vern and Edith (Norby) Weaver. Following high school, he proudly served in the US Navy during the Korean War.

Robert attended diesel mechanics school and ultimately retired with 34 years of service from Pontiac, as a zone service manager responsible for covering the tri-state area. Previously, he worked as a service writer for a local Cadillac dealership.

Robert was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post #8755, Sheffield, PA.

An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time at his camp in Forrest County, PA. Robert held the Forrest County region near and dear. He frequently visited the area since the 1940's.

He was also active in his community and was the former president of the Chadwick Condominium Homeowners Association.

Most recently he devoted much of his time caring for his wife, the former Shirley Ruth Bender, whom he married May 17, 1958. She passed away July 29, 2019.

He is survived by a daughter, Lauren Ann Kruth and her husband Ken, of Pittsburgh; a son, Eric Vern Weaver, of Fowler, OH; two grandchildren, Nicolle Marie and Alexis Anne Kruth; and a sister, Gale Bohach, of Lowellville, OH.

In addition to his parents and wife, Robert was preceded in death by three sisters, Carol Reed, Virginia Sweezy and Janet Winklevoss.
