Robert Gordon Vasconi, 3775 Morefield Road, Hermitage, passed away at 1:45 a.m. Tuesday (9-25-12) in John XXIII Home, Hermitage following an extended illness. He was 77. Robert was born September 17, 1935 in Sharon, the son of Angelo and Louise Ferrario Vasconi. He was a lifelong area resident and member of Sharon High School's graduating class of 1954. A member of the Masonry Union, He worked as a self employed contractor for forty years and retired in 2005. He also raised beef cattle on his farm in West Middlesex. He was a member of the Church of the Notre Dame, Hermitage. Robert served his country in the United States Army Reserves from 1954-1963. His wife, Joan G. Giangiuli, whom he married February 24, 1962, survives at the residence. Also surviving are two daughters, Karen V. Milton and her husband Ted, Tarrytown, NY and Linda Vasconi and her companion William Hogg, Hubbard, Ohio, one brother, John Vasconi and his wife Bertie, Melbourne, Florida. He is also survived by several cousins, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
