Robert Hayes Seibold passed away on February 1st, 2025, in Sharon Pennsylvania at the age of 81. He was born February 9th, 1943, in Astoria Queens, New York City, New York. He was the son of WWII Veteran Dr. Frank Seibold and Marjorie Hayes Seibold. He was proceeded in death by his two younger siblings Jeanne McLaren and Tom Seibold.
Robert was known to family and friends as Bob. He was an accomplished American Diplomat to West Germany, Israel, Japan and South Korea. He spoke Korean fluently and had a successful and fun forty plus year career at the U.S. State Department.
Bob had no children of his own but was a wonderful Uncle to his younger sister's son named Andrew McLaren. Bob encouraged his nephew to travel the world as he did.
Bob graduated from Hofstra University with a Bachelor's Degree. After retiring from working for the Federal Government, Bob lived his last years peacefully in Sharon Pennsylvania. He will be remembered by those who knew him as a honorable man who was patriotic and well read. He admired the leadership of General Colin Powell and was protective of his younger sister and brother.
Bob will be greatly missed by those who loved and knew him.
