Obituary

Robert "Bob" Schuster, 78, of Sharon, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family after a hard-fought battle with Multiple Myeloma.

Bob was born February 26,1947, in Sharon to Henry and Betty Schuster.

Bob graduated from his beloved Farrell High School in 1966. He later graduated from the nursing program at Mercer Vo-Tech.

A hard worker, Bob had numerous jobs throughout his life. His favorites being a sports announcer for local radio stations with his lifelong best friend Birdie Campman, owning Schuster's Restaurant and Dairy in his hometown of Wheatland, working as a nurse throughout Ohio, and finally retiring as a Special Education Paraprofessional from Sharon City School District.

Bob loved his wife and family dearly. Six days before his passing, he and Joyce celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary. He was at his happiest spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.

Anyone who knew Bob, knew of his love of sports; as a player, coach, and spectator for his children and grandchildren. He was also passionate about Cleveland sports. He loved Sundays watching Browns games, spent his time watching Cleveland baseball, and finally got to celebrate a Cleveland championship in 2016 thanks to the Cavaliers.

One of the things Bob missed most while battling cancer was driving. Whether it was riding through Buhl Park nightly with his wife, going on road trips with his family, or just riding around reminiscing about his glory days growing up in the valley - he loved being behind the wheel.

Bob is survived by his high school sweetheart, now wife, Joyce (O'Brien) Schuster. He adored her and never missed an opportunity to tell others just how much.

Also surviving are daughters, Kelly (George) Burnett of Willow Spring, NC, Allison Schuster of Sharon, Molly Schuster of Sharon; and son, Adam (Jessica) Schuster of Hermitage. Nine grandchildren, Lainie, Emily, and Ryan Burnett, Abigail Schuster, and Coltin, Grayson, Oliver, Ruby, and Cooper Schuster; a sister, Darlene (Guy) Treater; and his niece, Stacy. He is also survived by his loving O'Brien family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; father and mother-in-law, Hubert and Mary O'Brien; sisters-in-law, Denise O'Brien and Patricia Scharville; and his brothers-in-law, Hugh O'Brien and Mark O'Brien.

The family would love to extend their gratitude to all of the amazing healthcare professionals who were so kind to Bob and his family over all the years.

The family suggests memorial contributions be directed to Buhl Park, 715 Hazen Rd., Hermitage, PA 16148.
