Robert "Bob" Miller of Sharon passed away at
5:50 p.m.
Tuesday, May 31, 2016, in the transitional care unit of Sharon Regional Health System, after an extended illness.
He was 74.
Mr. Miller was born January 28, 1942, in Sharon, a son of Ralph Duane and Mary Kincaid Miller.
He was a lifelong Sharon resident and a 1960 graduate of Sharon High School.
Bob served as an Airman 1
st
Class in the Air Force from 1960 to 1964.
He was employed for more than twenty years in plant protection at the former Sharon Transformer Division of Westinghouse Electric Corporation, until its closing.
He then worked for Sawhill Tubular Products and Wheatland Tube Co. before retiring.
During his retirement, he was a grounds keeper for the Sharon Recreation Board during the summer.
Bob was an active member of St. Joseph Church, Sharon, where he volunteered as a money counter for many years.
He enjoyed hunting and was an avid Cleveland Browns fan.
His wife, the former Rosalie M. Dorus, whom he married July 13, 1963, passed away July 27, 2015.
Surviving are: a son, Robert Miller and his wife Darlene, Washington, NJ; a daughter, Kim Votino and her husband Bob, Hermitage; and four grandchildren, Bobby Jr., Luke, Courtney and Matt.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Joan Miller.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Sharon Regional Hospice Home Care.

Friday, June 3, 2016, in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon.
Funeral Mass will be
10 a.m.
Saturday, June 4, 2016, in St. Joseph Church, Sharon, with Rev. Thomas Whitman, pastor, as celebrant.
Entombment: St. Rose Cemetery Mausoleum, Hermitage, where military honors will be rendered by the Sharon Honor Guard.
