Robert J. Hogue

Robert J. Hogue, 60, of Slippery Rock Twp., passed away late Sunday afternoon, May 3, 2026, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA, following a courageous 21-year battle with Multiple Sclerosis.

Mr. Hogue was born November 21, 1965, in New Castle, a son of the late Robert E. and Eveh Joyce (Aiken) Hogue. He was a 1984 graduate of Laurel High School.

For many years, Robert was the owner, operator, and trainer of Hogue Stables, specializing in Standard Bred Harness Racing Horses.

He was a former member of Christ Presbyterian Church of Ellwood City, PA.

Robert loved spending time outdoors hunting and enjoyed following horse racing.

He is survived by his son, Austin Hogue, of Slippery Rock Twp.; his daughter, Jamie Burnett (Nick), of Union Twp.; three sisters, Colleen Hogue Chuchfield, of Eastbrook, Maureen Daugherty (Tom), of Shenango Twp., Shirleen Dowd (George), of Erie, PA; two grandchildren, Lydia and Mya; and several nieces and nephews.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents.

In keeping with his wishes, there will be no visitation.

A celebration of his life is being planned for a future date.
