Robert Nathan Isaac, 75, of New Castle passed away unexpectedly the evening of Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2015, in Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg, Pa. He was born Nov. 21, 1939, in New Castle, a son of John and Isabella Sheffler Isaac. Following high school, he became an Army reservist and later attended the New Castle School of Trades. In his earlier years, he worked at Citizens Bank in New Castle and later gained employment with St. Francis Hospital, where he worked in the maintenance department. He was a member of St. Lucy, St. Vincent de Paul Parish. He enjoyed rooting for the Pittsburgh Steelers, reading and spending time with his grandchildren, whom he loved dearly. His wife, the former Ann Irene Boron, who he married Aug. 22, 1970, passed away Aug. 3, 2014. He is survived by his daughter, Leann M. Restaino and her husband, Vito, of Girard, Ohio; his son, Robert J. Isaac of Delmont, Pa.; two grandchildren, Bella and Vito Restaino; and three sisters, Leona Didiano and Amelia Isaac, both of New Castle, and Rachel Opp of Portersville. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his three brothers, George, John "Junior" and Edward Isaac. Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 9, at the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 111 W. Falls St., New Castle. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 10, at St. Mary's Church. Interment will be in Madonna Cemetery.
