Robert L. Humphrey, 72, of Hermitage, passed away February 2, 2025.
Mr. Humphrey was born on March 31, 1952, in Sharon a son of the late Kenneth Eugene Humphrey and Margaret Jane (Marsteller) Humphrey Johnson. He was a graduate of Hickory High School.
Following high school, "Bob" worked as a theater operator at the former Basil Theater, Hermitage. Later, he was employed as a millwright at the former National Castings, Sharon. He then returned to the cinemas and worked as a theater manager for Carmike Cinemas, in Butler, PA, and Ashtabula, OH locations.
An avid Pittsburgh Steeler fan, he also enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing. Bob also liked to play darts and looked forward to throwing in league.
He is survived by a daughter, Michelle Humphrey, of Italy; three sons, Kenneth Humphrey and his fiancé Crystal, of Painesville, OH, Matthew Humphrey, of Greenville, and Nathaniel Humphrey, of Hermitage; two sisters, Sandra Holl, of Hermitage, and Kathy (Glen) Thomas, of Mercer; and four nieces and nephews, Margie (Brian) Darbey, of Vienna, OH, Jimmy (Hannah) Holl, of New Castle, Glen (Nikki) Thomas, of Pulaski, and Kristina (Justin) McHale, of West Middlesex.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his step-father, Robert Johnson; a brother, Mark Johnson; and a brother-in-law, James Holl.
The family suggests memorial contributions be directed to either the South Pymatuning Twp. Fire Department, 3505 Tamarack Dr., Sharpsville, PA 16150; or the Alzheimer Association, at www.ALZ.org
