Obituary

Robert Edward 'Huck' Hughes Jr., 1895 Shadyside Drive, Hermitage, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday at 4:18 p.m. Thursday in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System. He was 62.
A lifelong city resident, he was born in Sharon on January 17, 1947 the son of Robert Edward 'Huck' Hughes Sr. and Rita Walsh Hughes.
He was a member of Sharon High Schools graduating class of 1965.
Huck was employed at C C L Container, Hermitage, as a machine operator and area coordinator for more than 25 years.
He was a member of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Sharon.
Some of his social memberships included; Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, Lodge 103, the American Legion Post 299, both Sharon; the Italian Home and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5286, both Farrell.
He enjoyed reading, golfing, riding his anniversary addition Harley Davidson Motorcycle, and he especially enjoyed taking care of his two dogs, Harley and Haley.
He is survived by his wife the former Darlene J. Gorichky whom he married on August 17, 1968, his son Robert Edward Hughes III and his fiancé Lena McFadden, Wheatland, Pa., three sisters, Emma Jean Burk, Sharon, Rita M. Fry, Sharpsville, Mary Jo Corsale and her husband Michael, Austintown, Oh., One brother, James Paul Hughes and his wife Stephanie, Sharon. and several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
As his last unselfish act, Huck was an organ donor and his gift will make it possible for others to lead a more healthy and blessed life.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

Calling hours: 4 to 7 p.m. on Sunday (2-8-08) in the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. 1090 E. State St. Sharon.
Services: Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday at 11:00 a.m. in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, 370 Spruce Ave., Sharon with Rev. Rev Stanley J Swacha, pastor as celebrant.
Interment: St. Rose Cemetery, Hermitage, Pa.
