Robert S. Heflick, 410 Spruce Ave., Sharon, passed away at 1:25 p.m. Friday (7-3-09) in UPMC Horizon Hospital, Farrell, following an extended illness. He was 60.
Mr. Heflick was born February 2, 1949 in Pittsburgh, PA a son of the late John Paul Heflick, II and Jean Fraley Heflick.
He attended Dormont (PA) High School and was a graduate of the New Castle School of Trades.
Bob was an automobile mechanic and had previously been employed at Andover (Ohio) Industries and the former Shop N' Save, Hermitage.
He was a lifelong fan of racing and his greatest joy was being with his family.
Bob served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War.
He is survived by: his wife at home, the former Jacqueline Snow, whom he married July 22, 1980; a son, Robert S. Heflick, II; three step-children, Beverly Patricia Moore; Rodney Patrick Moore, Jr.; and Sandra Lee Roberts; a sister, Paula Jablonski and her husband Richard, Masury, Ohio; three brothers, John Paul Heflick, III and his wife Darlene, Fowler, Ohio; Ed Miller and his wife Mary, Niles, Ohio; and Howard Fraley, Kinsman, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; and a step-father, Edward 'Bud' Fraley, Brookfield, Ohio.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society or to the American Diabetes Association.
