Robert "Robbie" Mark Dorus Jr. of Brookfield, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on Monday, April 20, 2015, in his home. He was 30. Mr. Dorus was born July 4, 1984, in Sharon, a son of Robert Mark Dorus Sr. and Kathy Lynn Whorten Dorus. He was a lifelong area resident and a 2002 graduate of Brookfield High School. Robbie was employed for nearly 10 years at The Herald newspaper in Sharon where he began working at the age of 15 as a paper carrier and later moved up to the mail room with night delivery. He also worked as a cook at the former Guliano's in Hubbard for many years and helped his aunt Karen at her shop, K's Bird and Supplies, Masury. He was a member of the Salvation Army Corps, Sharon. Robbie enjoyed monster trucks, World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), fishing, country music, barbecuing and family get-togethers. He was a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Penguins and Pirates and, along with his sister, Debbie, looked forward to the 4th of July, Robbie's birthday, when they provided a fireworks display for friends and family. Robbie was a gentle soul who was nice to everyone and will be missed dearly. Surviving are: his father, Bob Dorus, at home; a sister, Debbie West and her husband Steve, Brookfield; a brother, Thomas "Tommy" Dorus, Brookfield; aunts and uncles, Karen Slovesko, Masury; Dan Whorten and Becky, Hubbard; Dave and Patty Whorten, Canfield, Ohio; Larry Whorten, Farrell; Nancy Whorten, Warren, Ohio; and Bill Reiter, Hermitage; and a special nephew, Ashtyn Dorus. Robbie was preceded in death by his grandparents; his mother, who died Oct. 8, 2011; and his aunt, Linda Reiter, who died Jan. 16 of this year.
