Obituary

Robert C. "Bob" Canady, 66, of Greenville, passed away unexpectedly of an apparent heart attack at 4:07 a.m. Monday, October 28, 2024, in UPMC Horizon Hospital, Greenville.

Bob was born on August 9, 1958, in Sharon, a son of Carl and Helene (Dobert) Canady. He was a 1976 graduate of Reynold High School.

Bob spent his entire working career in auto wrecking. When he was 15 years old, he began working at the former R.E. Crash Auto Wrecking in Greenville. Upon its closure, he worked at Sharon Auto Wrecking.

Bob attended St. Michael Catholic Church, Greenville.

He was an avid golfer, and looked forward to coaching his son's baseball teams, from Little League through American Legion ball. Bob was also a racing fan and worked on Lou Blaney's Sprint Team for many years. Above all her loved spending time with his family.
His first wife, the former Rhonda Crash, whom he married on January 13, 1979, passed away on February 22, 2015.

He is survived by his wife, the former Amy Swartz, whom he married on March 19, 2021; his son Reid Canady (Sarah), Howland, OH; three step-sons, Cody Eells, Baltimore, MD, Casey Eells (Kristen), Findley, OH, and Canyon Eells, Cheboygan, Mich.; two sisters, Diane Cole, and Rebecca Riley (Doug), all of Greenville; two brothers, Ronald Canady, Harrisburg, and Mike Canady (Tina), Sharpsville; two brothers-in-law, Matt Swartz, Greenville, and Doug Swartz (Michelle), Perrysburg, OH; and his beloved nieces and nephews, Skylar, Levi, Stella and Ashley Robinson (Trevor).

In addition to his first wife, Bob was preceded in death by his father, Carl; and his mother, Helene, who passed away just 5 hours prior to him.
