Robert Burnett, Conneaut Lake, PA, formerly of Masury, Ohio, passed away June 6, 2012, in McKinney, Texas. He was 84.
Mr. Burnett was born December 29, 1927 in Hickory Township, Mercer County, PA a son of the late Clayton and Mary Fromm Burnett.
He was a graduate of Hickory High School, Hermitage, PA and served with the US Army as a secretary in General George S. Patton's Headquarters in Heidelberg, Germany during WW II.
Bob retired as chief electrician in 1992 from Wheatland Tube Company where he was employed for more than thirty years.
He was a member of Our Lady Queen of the America's Catholic Church, Conneaut Lake, PA and the Knights of Columbus, Masury, Ohio. He enjoyed water skiing, bowling and flower gardening. Bob was a volunteer for many of the activities surrounding Conneaut Lake Park. He was a staunch supporter of Conneaut Lake and keeping the water clean; and also the preservation of the park. Bob dearly loved his family and will be missed by all who loved him.
Surviving are: his wife, the former Patricia Ann Peters, whom he married June 1, 1985; a daughter, Patti Marstellar Dantzler and her husband Marion, McKinney, Texas; a grandson, Robert N. Burnett; a great granddaughter, Mia Burnett, both of Pompano Beach, FL; and a brother, Charles Burnett, Masury, Ohio.
Besides his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his first wife, the former Betty Ahenger, who died in 1980; a son, Robert C. Burnett, who died in 2007; a brother, John Burnett; and two sisters, Mary Evelyn Mangan and Delores M. Griffith.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Catholic Charities.

Mass of Christian burial will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 13, 2012, in St. Joseph Church, Sharon, with the Rev. Stephen Anderson, pastor of Our Lady Queen of the America's Church in Conneaut Lake, PA, as celebrant.
