Rita M. Plyler, 83, of Union Township passed away the afternoon of Saturday, July 22, 2017, at her residence.
Rita was born November 17, 1933, in Butler, the daughter of the late Lawrence J. and Anna Koehnen Nichter.
Her husband, Arnold G. Plyler, whom she married April 14, 1973, passed away April 28, 2006. She was an active member of Clen-Moore Presbyterian Church where she served as a deacon and was a member of the Clen-Moore Prime Timers group.
Rita enjoyed crafts, particularly quilting, painting and ceramics. She loved spending time with her family, especially during reunions, picnics and holidays.
Rita is survived by three daughters, Sherry (James) Hannon, Landsdale, PA; Rita Ann (Kenneth) Davis, New Castle; Paula (Larry) Campbell, Winston-Salem, NC; two sons, Kip (Mary Ann) Rodgers, Lakeland, FL; Larry Rodgers, Boardman, OH; two step daughters, Rhonda Flores, Florida and Kristi (Tony
)
Henson, Austintown, OH; two step sons, Steve (Amy) Plyler, New Castle; Michael (Marjorie)Plyler of Edinburg, and Unity, OH; two sisters, Cathy (Jack) McCain of Butler; Joan (Jimmy) Haley, of North Carolina; a brother Regis (Liz) Nichter of Butler, and thirty grandchildren.
Rita was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
