Obituary

Richard E. Perrine, formerly of Sharpsville, passed away after an extended illness at 9 a.m. Thursday, January 7, 2016 , in St. John XXIII Home, Hermitage, where he resided for the past two years. He was 84.

Mr. Perrine was born February 24, 1931, in Greenville, a son of William B. and Edna Mae Billig Perrine.

He was a 1950 graduate of Farrell High School and served in the Army during the Korean War.

Richard retired in 1994 from Dean Dairy Products, S. Pymatuning Township, where he was employed for 35 years.

He was a member of St. Joseph Church, Sharon.

Richard was an avid woodworker and a Jack of all trades.

As a devoted husband, father and grandfather, his family was his first priority.

His wife, the former Laura J. Jordan, whom he married June 29, 1957, passed away December 17, 2004.

He is survived by two daughters, Janet (Thomas) Fratilla, Hubbard; and Rosemary (Gene) Prezioso, Sharpsville; five grandchildren, Tom Fratilla, Laura (Ian) Maynard; and Kristen, Gia and Nicholas Prezioso; and a great grandson, James Richard Maynard.

Besides his wife, Richard was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son; a sister, Katherine Esmond; and four brothers, James, Donald, William and Robert, who died in infancy.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association, 840 Southwestern Run, Youngstown, Ohio 44514.

Calling hour will be from noon until the time of service on Monday, January 11, 2016 , in the Gathering Space of St. Joseph Church, corner of E. State St. and Case Ave., Sharon.

Mass of Christian burial will be 1 p.m. Monday in the church with Rev. Thomas Whitman, pastor, as celebrant.

Interment: St. Mary's Cemetery, Hermitage.
