Richard W. Nagy, 82, of Sharon passed away Saturday morning, June 22, 2024.

Mr. Nagy was born October 15, 1941, in Sharon, a son of the late Alexander and Margaret (Kurpe) Nagy. He was a 1959 graduate of Brookfield High School and attended Youngstown State University.

Richard worked at Sharon General Hospital and later retired as a fitter from General American (GATX), Masury, OH, in 1985.

Richard was a longtime member of St. Adalbert's Church in Farrell.

He had a talent for fixing anything mechanical and often helped friends and neighbors with lawnmower repairs.

Above all else, Richard was a family man. He was a dedicated husband and father who adored spending time with his grandchildren.

His wife of 58 years, Gloria (Rakoci) Nagy, whom he married on April 16, 1966, survives at their home in Sharon.

Richard is also survived by a daughter, Michelle DeBlasio (Don), Hermitage, PA; a son, Rick Nagy (Lisa), Cranberry Twp., PA; a brother, Ronald Nagy (Becky), Milton, FL; six grandchildren, Elayna, Nolan, and Roman Nagy, and Angelina, Ariana, and Donny DeBlasio.

In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by a brother, Alex Nagy (Sachiko).

In keeping with his wishes, services will be held privately.

Interment: Holy Cross Cemetery, Hermitage.
