Obituary

A funeral service will be held on Friday for Richard William Morgan Jr. 590 McClure Ave. Sharon, passed away unexpectedly at 5:50 a.m. on Tuesday (6-8-10) in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh after a short illness. He was 77.

He was born on March 10, 1933 in New Castle, Pa. the son of Richard W. Sr. and Bernice Stickle Morgan.

Mr. Morgan graduated from Shenango High School in 1951.

He was employed as a PBX installer for Bell of Pennsylvania for twenty years and later worked for United Telephone in Warren, Ohio for twenty years.

Mr. Morgan attended St. Joseph's Church in Sharon. In his spare time he enjoyed gardening but his greatest joy came while spending time with his family, especially his granddaughters.

He was a veteran of the United States Army and served his country during the Korean Conflict.

His wife the former Audrey Anne McLusky whom he married on August 23, 1958 in St .Joseph's Church, survives at home.

He also leaves his two daughters, Mary Frances Lunde, Sharon, and Monica A. Makowiecki and her husband Thaddeus, Beaver, Pa., a son John Philip Morgan of Santa Barbra, CA, a brother and sister in law Tony (Karla) McLusky of Sharon, and his granddaughters Kayla and Mariah G. Lunde, both Sharon. Richard is also survived by a niece and nephew, Lisa Pogacnik and Patrick Hall both of Dallas, TX.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Sallie Morgan.

Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh 4401 Penn Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15224.

Calling hours: 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 on Thursday (6-10-10) in the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. 1090 E. State St. Sharon.

Services: A funeral service will be held Friday (6-11-10) at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Daniel J. Kresinski, pastor of St. Anthony's Church, and Deacon Richard Rueberger co officiating.

Inurnment: Hillcrest Memorial Park, Hermitage.
