Richard A. Mann, 80, of West Pittsburg passed away peacefully the morning of Tuesday, June 21, 2016, at UPMC Jameson Hospital.
He was born on Nov. 20, 1935, in New Castle to the late Richard J. and Anna Crudell Mann.
Richard Served in the Army from 1955 to 1957.
He married the love of his life, the former Jean Gee, on March 6, 1965, and she survives him at home.
Richard retired from the Rockwell International Axle plant in 1992 after 28 years of service and was the former president of the Rockwell retirees group.
He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Parish. Richard was a 3rd degree member of New Castle Council 512 Knights of Columbus and was a member of the Eagles.
Richard enjoyed watching all of the Pittsburgh sports teams, but his most cherished times were spent with his family camping in Tionesta, Pennsylvania.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Lu Cinda Tenney of Winchester, Virginia; two sons, Kevin Mann of New Castle and Brian (Michelle) Mann of Ellwood City; six grandchildren, Brian Mann Jr., Anthony and Miah Mann, Kristen Mann, Trilene Wisbith and Mary Tenney; and two sisters, Anna Mae Donahue and Judy Parra, both of New Castle.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three infant sisters.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 111 W. Falls St.
A procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Friday for St. Vincent de Paul Church, where a Mass of Christion burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. by the Rev. Larry Adams.
Interment will be in St. Lucy Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted at the cemetery by the New Castle Area Honor Guard.
