Richard Lee Hice, Sr. of 90 Chestnut St. Sharon, PA. passed away at 3:45 p.m. Monday, March 2, 2009 at his residence. He was 46.
Mr. Hice was born in Sharon, PA on March 28, 1962, a son of Floyd Hice and Martha Mathews Rupert
Richard was a Machinist for Man Power, Inc. in Sharon, PA for 6 years.
He enjoyed spending time in the outdoors with his family, hunting, and working on cars, especially tow trucks.
Survivors include: his wife, Linda Ray Hice, whom he married June 11, 1982; his mother, Martha and her husband Bob Rupert of Fort Meyers, FL; 3 sons, Richard Jr. and his wife Bethany Hice of Wheatland, PA, Joseph and his fiancée Amanda of Hermitage, PA, and Christian Hice at home; 2 sisters, Deborah Jewell of Greenville, PA, and Dorothy and her husband David Crane of Pleasant Unity, PA; 2 brothers, John and his wife Karen Hice, and James and his wife Donna Hice both of Masury, OH; 2 grandchildren, Jacob and Joseph Hice Jr.; a special niece, Missy Ser Wheaton of Greenville, PA; 19 nieces and nephews; 7 great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by: his father; maternal and paternal grandparents.
Calling hours will be from 1 to 2 p.m. on Friday, March 6, 2009 at the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 1090 E. State St. Sharon, PA 16146
A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 6, 2009 at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Phillip Beck of the Central Community Church.
