Obituary

Richard A. "Rick" Grande of Sharon passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on Saturday, October 21, 2017 in Northeast Georgia Medical Center, Gainesville, GA. He was 61.

Mr. Grande was born January 4, 1956, in Sharon, a son of Fred J. and Theresa (Trotta) Grande.  He was a lifelong area resident and a 1974 graduate of Sharon High School. Rick was a simple man and was a truck driver for 25 years to provide for his family.

He was of the Catholic faith.  Rick was very unselfish and always put his wife, son and others before himself.

Surviving are his wife, the former Brenda Shaffer, whom he married on July 16, 1988; a son, Andrew Grande, Sharon; two sisters, Tina Fitzwilliams and her husband Tom,  Florence, AZ; and Renee Kloss, Sharon; a brother, Fred Grande and his wife Linda, Girard, OH; and his mother-in-law, Lois Shaffer, Sharon.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to his family for a charity of their choice.

Calling hours will be from noon until the time of the service Saturday ( 10/28/ 2017 ) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 East State St., Sharon .

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home, with Rev. Matthew Ruyechan, pastor of Our Lady of Fatima Church, Farrell, officiating.
