Richard "Cookie" Cook, 68, passed away Monday, November 10, 2025, in Quality Life Services, New Castle.

Mr. Cook was born April 30, 1957, a son of the late Robert T. Cook and Mary (Burkey) Surgenavic. He attended Mohawk High School.

In his younger days, Cookie was an avid foosball player. He was a lifelong member of the Mahoning Sportsman's Association, where he enjoyed hunting and fishing. In his spare time, he had fun playing bocce.

He is survived by his sister, Donna Sicafuse, New Middletown, OH; two brothers, Robert Lee Cook (Peggy), Palm City, FL, and Roger Allen Ashmus, TX; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In keeping with his wishes, there will be no services.

Interment: Petersburg Cemetery, Petersburg, OH.
