Remedios Ascheri, of New Castle, passed away Saturday, October 11, 2025, in UPMC Shadyside Hospital. She was 85.

Remedios was born June 8, 1940, in Sorsogon, Philippines, a daughter of the late Agapito and Maxima Magno.

She worked as a caregiver for many years.

Remedios enjoyed traveling and going to the casino.

She is survived by two sons, Jose Umali, and Rafael Umali; two daughters, Marlyn Strachan, and Pamela Diaz; many grandchildren; one great-grandson; and another on the way.

In keeping with Remedios' wishes, there will be no calling hours or service.
