Obituary

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday, January 19, at 10 am for Regina Lunich of Brookfield at St. Adalbert's Church, Farrell, Pa.

Mrs. Lunich was born July 16, 1928, in Farrell, a daughter of Charles and Sophie Futera Kowalczyk.

She attended the former St. Adalbert Parochial Grade School, and was a 1946 graduate of Farrell High School.

Regina retired in 1991 from Roemer Industries, Sharon, where she was employed in the shipping department for 19 years.

A homemaker, she was also a lifelong active member of St. Adalbert's Church where she belonged to the Altar and Rosary Society, Infant Prague of Jesus, Family Club and as a soloist in the church choir.

Surviving are: her husband, Milrod "Brutz" Lunich, whom she married July 10, 1954 in St. Adalbert's Church; three daughters Lisa A. McKenna (wife of the late James E. McKenna), Girard, OH; Dana L. Lunich, Kent, Ohio; and Stephanie S. Lunich of Brookfield; and two grandchildren, Amanda L. (Andrew Kowalewski) and Tyler J. McKenna.

Regina was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Mary Kolodziej, Laura Smith, Delores Kowalczyk and Wanda Kowalczyk; and five brothers, Stanley, Henry, Matthew, John and Chester Kowalczyk.

There are no calling hours.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Regina's name to the Alzheimer's Association.

Mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m. Tuesday ( 1-19-16 ) in St. Adalbert's Church, Farrell, with Rev. Joseph Campbell, pastor, as celebrant.

Interment: America's Cemetery, Hermitage.
